Gallia County Local School's Art Show and Gala at The French Art Colony

FAC 1 800x600The French Art Colony, regional multi-arts center located in Gallipolis, Ohio, is currently hosting the Gallia County Local Schools Art Show through April 22.  The galleries are filled with top artwork created by students, grades K-12, from all of the Gallia County Local Schools' facilities.

The public is invited to a Arts Gala reception showcasing the various art departments on Saturday, April 22, from 10:00-2:00.  Students and instructors will be on hand to discuss the works with parents, family and friends, celebrating the importance of arts education.   Admission is free.

The no-cost hosting of the local school’s art exhibitions is an annual tradition of The French Art Colony, and part of the organization’s dedication to serving the community through the arts.  The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this organization with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. 

The French Art Colony galleries are open Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00-4:00, and Saturday, from 10:00-3:00.  The FAC Galleries are closed on Sundays and Mondays.  For more information, call 740-446-3834, or visit
